Form + Function: The Lackawanna County Design a Bike Rack Competition Guidelines are now on the County Website. This contest is open to Lackawanna County Residents and the top three designs will be awared a $1,000 prize and be fabricated. Since it must function as a bike rack, there are advised guidelines regarding the design, but there is some room to veer if you feel your rack can still be durable, strong and secure. http://www.lackawannacounty.org/ViewEventDetails.aspx?EventID=1169

Celebrating the Dedication of The Dick & Nancy Eales Preserve at Moosic Mountain
Please join us in welcoming summer’s arrival on Moosic Mountain Preserve.
Hope everyone had a nice weekend. Beautiful weather and nice riding.
For the ride this week we can plan a ride over to Bell Mt and break in the single track trails over there. We’ll take the trail up off of Peaceful Valley road and start at Highpoint trail. We can split into two or three groups and from fast pace to a slower paced group.Will be a fun ride and the longer daylight is a nice thing for sure.
Afterwards we’ll be having Raviolis with Meatballs, Fresh bread , Salad and Dessert. Hope to see you for the ride. John
This week we are planning on riding the trails that are surrounded by the beautiful Mt Laurel. Single track and Dbl track trails for a Tour de Hubbard.
“MURAZZI MEATS” Afterwards we’ll be serving the best sausage sandwiches in town. Murazzi’s famous sweet sausage along with fried bell peppers and onions, Sweet corn, Potatoe Salad and dessert.
Also on Sat. morning a Mt bike ride planned on Bell Mt ,leaving the Wegmans parking lot at 9:00 am and riding for two hours. Afterwards doing the Beer and Food pairing event in the Market Cafe. Very nice event with Pa.’s finest breweries and Wegmans great food to compliment the beer. All for free.

For the ride this week we can ride to the scenic overlook on Cary Mt.. From there we can head down through the area behind Domianos in Eynon and then up the East side of the paved road for the one good hill to finish. Its a good ride.
Afterwards we’ll be having Hubbard style Pulled Pork Sandwiches, Coleslaw, Baked Beans and Dessert for the after ride Dinner.

Hello Everyone,
Hope you had a good weekend and got to do some riding with the nice weather we had. It is so nice to see all the different rides and choices.
For the ride this Thursday again we’ll plan on riding the single track on Hubbard. We’ll plan a good route that evening.
Afterwards we’ll be serving Salad, fresh Baked Lasagna and Dessert. Have a great week,,,,John
