Hubbard Bike Club

Hey Everyone,
For this weeks ride we’ll again plan on riding the trails on Hubbard, We will ride the Deitzers downhill at the bottom of Ravine trail to the old burned out school bus that is no longer there. This is a trail that was lost due to recent timbering but thanks to Mikey Deitzers hard work in clearing and cutting it is back. Its really one of the original rocky-technical trails on the mountain that we rode just about every week before all the other trails were built . And the best part of it is we get to ride up the paved road on the east side of Hubbard after going down.
Afterwards we’ll be enjoying Murazzis Smoked Kielbasa, Fried Cabbage and Pierogis along with dessert.
Also the following two weeks I have business functions and cannot attend for those weeks 09/16 and 09/23.(hopefully this is the last of business commitments on Thursdays for a long time). You are always more than welcome to still come and park and ride Hubbard Mountain from the barn on these days. Enjoy the ride! John

Sept riding is almost here. Crisp cool evenings.The daylight is already getting shorter each week and it is time to bring the lights if planning on riding past 8:00.
For this weeks ride we’ll again plan on a nice loop around Hubbard.
Afterwards Rotisserie Chicken along with green beans and potatoes. Enjoy the beautiful weather week ahead and come on out and enjoy the ride.  Thanks John

We’ll meet and park at the boat mooring area which is the very first
parking lot you come to as you approach the park when coming from Clarks Summit on route 407.Also the park closes at dusk so if wanting to get a longer ride in please start earlier than our regular time of 6:00 PM.

We’ll again ride the trails on Hubbard Mountain this week. Afterwards a special evening of great music featuring Tony Vergnetti with his group “Trio”. Looking forward to a great evening of riding on the mountain.

NOTE:
Thursday 08/19/2010 the Hubbard ride will be at Lackawanna State Park. Meeting at the main parking lot.

For the ride this week again we will again ride on Hubbard mt. The Ravine trail is free of all the picker bushes thanks to Dan Thomas in clearing the way for us.

Afterwards we’ll have Barbequed pulled pork sandwiches along with Potato salad and locally grown Sweet corn. For dessert homemade Wildberry Cobbler.

After we’ll be having a delicious Italian rice dish.”Risotta” along with a fresh garden salad and dessert.
