Planning a nice easy paced  25 mile”tour”style ride  for another trip to the mine fire. Start at the barn @ 10am then  pedal up and over Hubbard through Blakely , Peckville  to the, rails to trails and into Winton,Jessup ,Olyphant to the destination. The place of the big mine fire, then ride through Throop and end up at  Wegmans in Dickson City for a bite to eat and drink  before riding trails behind the Circle drive in and back to the barn . About four hours total.  Come on out while the temps are warm and the riding is prefect.  John

This week  planning on a ride from the barn into the Lackawanna valley for a quick stop at the candy store in Peckville before heading back up and over the paved road for a good finishing climb.

Afterwards ,Salad, Homemade  Stuffed Shells with Red Sauce and Meatballs.Hope to see you for this fun ride.

This week again  we’ll probably be both riding or hiking. Looks like some snow on Wednesday.

Afterwards we’ll be having  Stuffed Cabbage rolls, along with Mashed potatos and dessert.

Then this Saturday a hike from the barn ,Meet at 11:00 am  at Hubbard Barn and do a Meyers-Cary mt hike.2 hour walk..its going to  be a bit colder and a very scenic walk to the cliffs-overlooks on each mountain………….we’ll shuttle to RT 6 and  have a pickup vehical  near the Rosemont for a good one way hike…good hike that we’ve done once before a few years ago…………Come on out and enjoy the good times…………….Thanks everyone, John

Hello Everyone,

This week ride or hike. The trails are a bit muddy,partly snow covered. I was up there riding this afternoon. Please park along the main road  and the paved road that we climb as the field where we usually park is also  pretty soft n muddy. For Thursday the plan is to walk up and over the mountain to the Wildcat Saloon in Sturges Pa. “Easy walk(straight up and down 2xs) 4.5 miles both ways included. Have one drink for energy and back for the  good Ole barn party  …..

Afterwards we’ll be serving a fresh garden salad; spaghetti with Hubbard sauce mild and hot along with homemade meatballs and fresh bread plus a special dessert.

If comming to Hubbard you must be prepared to do this at request. Please study and memorize.

Saturday Dirt Road Ride leaving from the barn @ 12-Noon. We’ll have the route posted on the website for Friday. This will be a nice long easy paced ride.  In preperation for the sugar shack ride and the ride to the candy store(can’t wait) ,,,coming up very soon. Winter is almost over,,,yes!!!!!!!!!! – Also anyone wanting to meet for a snowshoe walk at noon is also welcome. The coffee and hot chocolate will be on at 11:30am. So come on over for a walk or Ride…………….
